Our services

Prenatal

Are you pregnant and want to know how well your pelvic floor and core are functioning?  Do you want to know how to strengthen your pelvic floor and what exercises are safe for you in pregnancy?  You will learn what your unique needs are to prepare your body for an optimal labour and delivery, and recover more easily postpartum.

Our Prenatal Assessment is a one-hour individual pelvic health assessment with a registered women’s health physiotherapist. This assessment is available for any woman in her 2nd trimester or beyond.

Pelvic Floor

Pelvic health physiotherapy can help with treating urinary incontinence, anal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic, low back and hip pain, by improving core muscle function.

  • Pelvic Health physiotherapists are registered and trained specifically to evaluate and treat both dysfunctions that occur internally and externally in the body. Problems occurring on the “inside” of our pelvis often impact what is happening on the “outside” of the body.

  • Pelvic Health Assessment: A one-hour exam with a registered pelvic health physiotherapist. Our exam is completed in a private room and has two parts: An External exam – assessing how you move and your general strength and an Internal pelvic exam to assess what is happening on the inside of your body.  A vaginal and/or rectal exam helps us assess the strength and function of your pelvic floor,  pelvic organ position and tailbone movement.

Postnatal

Just had a baby and wanting to return to exercise or a running program?  Are you concerned about your pelvic floor or abdominal separation?  Learn how to treat or prevent urinary leakage, pelvic organ prolapse, and safely return to your pre-baby activity.

Our Postnatal Assessment is a one hour individual pelvic health and strength assessment with one of our registered women’s health physiotherapists. This assessment is appropriate for any woman that has had her 6 week postnatal checkup, or any woman experiencing pelvic floor symptoms no matter how long ago you had your baby!

“The level of care I have received at this clinic is beyond amazing. I’ve seen a huge difference in my pelvic floor having been seen for both a prenatal and postnatal assessment”

— Ashley, Patient
